Brennevinsgrova Whiskey is made from Pale malt, fermented with Raftevold kveik from Hornindal and distilled in a column still. The kveiken from Raftevold gard has been used for beer brewing on the farm for many generations, where a traditional "sex beer" was made. The water from the local waterworks is a mixture of meltwater from Ljøsabreen and rainfall that comes down Straumsheimdalen.
Spirits - Whiskey
Scent of caramel, some vanilla, hint of sherry.
The spirit is then matured in Boubon 60l and 200l oak casks before it has been left for a few months in PX Sherry oak casks.
